mm... something smells nice

While we were prayer walking around PL last Sunday, God gave me this vision of us emitting a tangible frangrance spreading out from us into the nearby school and carpark, filling every nook and cranny. The vision was a surreal one, but God told me this- that we His children are going to carry His fragrance wherever we go.

Let me share with you something I read from an article:

God "makes known through us the fragrance that consists of the knowledge of Him in every place" (2 Cor 2:14b New English Translation). He uses you and me to make known the fragrance of the knowledge of Himself. The knowledge of the person and saving work of Jesus Christ is spread abroad like a pervading fragrance through believers...

"For we are a sweet aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing-" (2 Cor 2:15 NET).

I'm excited because PL is the mission field into which God has sent us. We are going to be agents of change and widespread influence to our surroundings (our schools, community, the PL area), with the aroma of God like a perfume that sweetens the air; even in our simple interaction with the PL residents or foodstall aunties and uncles!

What a great way for them to know God through us. Let's PERMEATE Paya Lebar with the fragrance of God! (:
