Spiderman vs Jesus
It was a hilarious time at Alpha track yest.
I was assigned to teach them- of all the characters in the Spiritual Discipleship Series - Jesus. It was of course one that troubled me much - how does one approach a subject like that!?? A character that has caused nothing short of a contraversy over the course of history.
But thanks to the movie I watched on Monday - I was hit with an inspiration. Yes- I watched Spiderman 3. The show was so-so... but what hit me was the entire excitement, merchandize and all - that preceded the arrival of this hero.
So I thought of a debate sort of thing. I got the trackers into 2 groups - and got them to convince me who was more REAL. I got them to imagine that I was someone from a tribe faraway -never heard of Spiderman nor Jesus, never exposed to media. Of course what proceded was a hilarious time of arguments and counter arguments.
But really - have you ever thought - if truth is what you read and hear on the TV, Newspaper, Media etc... would anyone be tempted to believe in Spiderman more than Jesus?
