Spiritually Anorexic?

Sis Trina says I'm anorexic. YAR RIGHT. I eat so much and I'm still hungry all the time. Woohoo. Anyway, I think Sis Trina preached a powerful message on Sunday. Don't you? (: She's going to squash me for this. Haha.

Personally I was really impacted by the Word of God in that sermon. It can be so easy to conveniently forget that we need to keep eating to keep growing. I'm sorry, but I'm one of those who really can just forget to eat. *gasps* Especially when doing something I'm really into. And it just scares me how parallel this can be to my walk with God. I love the worship team to bits and serving is just...... I wouldn't give it up unless God tells me to. I love my buzzgroup too! And I can just spend hours of prayer and tears on them. And in all of that, I've oft forgotten that I need to be fed too.

Something really hit me very hard as I was having my time alone with God tonight in my lonely room in uni hall.

"I am the Lord your God...Open wide your mouth and I will fill it."
Psalm 81:10

Open wide! There's no point having a hunger in your heart if you're just going to stop at that. A hungry heart will only be fed if the 'mouth' is open wide. Chew on it.

One thing I've come to realise is that even if your tummy's growling and rumling (grumling(: ), if you just ignore it, somehow it stops after a while. You forget you're hungry. It's a brain thing apparently. Our walk with God is not so different. You stand at the altars of the LT on Sunday at 125opm saying you are hungry, and you want so much more of Him. Then comes Monday.

Holy Spirit: "So, friend, what's for 'lunch' today?"
Friend: "Umm I'm lazy to 'eat' now. Later la."
Holy Spirit: "Ok 'dinner' time.."
Friend: "Err.. Chelsea-Liverpool tonight leh.."

And it goes on and on. Soon you'll forget you were hungry at all.
NB: Surveys show that Anorexia always starts with excuses.

If you really want God, and you're desperate, just OPEN WIDE. He can't fill you if you don't. Don't expect Him to force feed you.

Hungry. Very hungry.

KahChing! Got Change?

Hello everyone... its...
THE BUTTERFLY AGAIN

Kah-Ching! Kah-Ching! Kah-Ching!
Nopes... it ain't Bro KahFei's sibling...
It's the name of the game I learnt from my uni camp.
Supposedly the sound the jackpot machine makes when the 'change' comes out.
But please don't try going to check out if it really sounds that way or we'll be sending you to PDa!

Anyway... When i came online tonight i was so surprised to see Bro Kahfei's post! It was rather similar to what God spoke to me about this afternoon and I was very ready to post my thoughts with the exact same title!
So when I saw his post... I almost thought that by a miracle...
God had posted it for me with a butterfly attached!!!
But... Apparently NOT. So, I'll still have my say.

Suppose one day I came into church looking like this...
And I told you that I just won $1,000,000 in a lucky draw yesterday, just got told by my parents that they were going to taking me on my dream holiday, and my friends had just given me the best surprise birthday party bash!
Just by looking at my face... would you believe me???
You'ld say I was nuts right?!
But if I looked like this-->
You're more likely to believe me right?!
(It's all in the eyes...)

It's simple. You don't need mega brains to know that such an 'impact' in my life must certainly bring a change in my facial expressions.

Now, if such 'enormous blessings' could bring such a change of expression, what more if we encounter God?

If we really have God in our lives, our actions will show it!
Our life will show it!
God is a gentle Spirit and yet, the most IMPACTFUL thing we can ever encounter on earth.
If we truly have encountered God, there will be such an impact that our life will change RADICALLY!
So thats the question to ask yourself...

Got Change?!? (Kah-Ching!)
To find out more... see ya this sunday!
Dont be late!

Love,
Sis Mich

Got Change?

Romans 5:3-5 (NLT)

3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

I love the name of our upcoming game show, "Got Change?"

You may have heard somewhere before that, "The One Constant Thing in Life is Change" and "With Every Change, Comes Resistance." How ironically true.

Many of us see Changes as a form of "problem" or "trial". But truth is, every problem and trial provides for us an opportunity to grow and the key to this growth is Endurance.

If today you're hearing God's voice in your life to make changes to your lifstyle and you're looking at it with a bit of hesistancy, I want you to know that our God is in the business of Change. Good Change.

So don't resist it, Embrace it. If it seems a tad uncomfortable, Endure it.

He changed:
Fisher-men to fisher of men (Peter, Andrew)
Prisoner to 2nd to the King (Jospeh)
Shepherd Boy to the King of Israel (David)
Physical Blindness to Spiritual Awakenig (Saul to Paul)
Insignificant to significant (the woman who spent her perfume on Jesus)
Smallest in the Tribe to Great Warrior (Gideon)
Despised to Adored (Jephthah)

There are many more stories in the Bible of how God has changed the Unloved to Loved, the

Lost to Found, Trapped to Set Freed, Seeming Losses to Victories.

So let God take over. Trust in His Heart and His Plans. For he knows the plans He has for you and He works for the good of those who love him. (Jer 29:11, Rom 8:28)

In a matter of 4 months, this year will be over but before that, we still have 20 weeks to go. Remember, don't resist the change, Embrace it, Endure it. Have you "Got Change?"

Uniform.

Clothes.
It's always a headache for me. Sometimes I wish I was in school again - don't have to think about what to wear everyday... just put on the same thing everyday to go to school. Well yeah - we lose our 'individuality' somewhat - but it is a great thing to feel belonged - somewhere.
And it reminds me of Romans 12:2 - for the word 'conform' in Greek means to fashion after - literally to PUT ON THE UNIFORM...
And it's mind-blowing to think when a whole generation sheds their 'old' worldly uniform to don the ones God has for them - it will be a MIGHTY force that will send shivers to the very gates of hell!

“I see a generation
Rising up to take their place
With selfless faith
With selfless faith

I see a near revival
Stirring as we pray and seek
We’re on our knees
We’re on our knees”

And that's what we're gonna do tomorrow - to stand up - on our knees - in PRAYER. Can't wait.

Except for now...what should I WEAR!?!? :-\

Got Change?

Hello!

Hope you enjoyed this video! haha.. And no! we are not going to dunk anybody into any water on "Got Change?"! Haha.. I can hear the contestants give out a huge sigh of relief! =)

Many things are happening in August. There’s National day, the song-writing contest, etc. but most of all, "Got Change?" is coming up on the 19th of August! And I can’t wait! I’m starting to get excited! I can’t wait to see LT1 filled with first time visitors and the many lives will be changed by the power of God! I believe that this would be a great time to invite your friends for this special service as it would be a great time to have fun together as a ministry and with your oikos!

And it is such a joy to see many new faces in the LT and people being impacted and changed under the power of God and being able to invite a friend is an even greater joy! So why not a phone call or just an sms? I believe that as we go out into our schools or our workplace to invite our friends, God would begin to do a new work in IGNYTE ministry and many lives would be saved! I can’t wait to see lives saved and entered into the book of life. I am inviting my friends too! So just have faith and believe as nothing is impossible through God! So why not pick up the phone and call your friends to come for this event or even to participate for this event?

Even as we go into this new season of praying and learning to pray, let’s begin to pray for our oikos, for our loved ones and for this event together as a ministry and that God will do a mighty work on that day!

“Got Change?”

Howdy!

Haha. How’ve you all been lately? Time flies real fast. In a blink of an eye, a week just flew by and as the days pass by, I am getting more excited than ever because 19th August is coming REAL SOON! I am so excited for that event because I believe God is gonna bring about a great manifestation into IGNYTE ministry (: Amen? Haha.
I really hope to see many oikos and pre-believers flooding the place.

Don’t you all get this sense of happiness and joy whenever you are able to bring your friends to church? Happy that you can sow seeds into their lives or to harvest them?

It’s my greatest joy to see people coming in as first time visitors and stay in church and really grow in the house of God. So we must all pray hard and work hard yah? I also believe through this event, not only will people have great fun, but also have a great experience with God. Every week, every day, we have great and different awesome experiences with God isn’t it?

Pray hard now guys! Two prayer warriors are better than one, what’s more? We have one whole big bunch of prayer warriors! Pray now that your oikos, your friends, your loved ones who had yet to receive Christ to come for this special event.

It might be the day where it changes the lives of all of your friends, loved ones and oikos!

I am also doing my very best to invite all my oikos, so
don’t hesitate now. Just a call, an sms and faith in God, He might answer your prayers like He answered mine! (:

Here are the details for the events
