E X T R A V A G A N T
W o r s h i p has always been something extremely precious to me. It's what helps me connect with God and draws me closer to Him. The reason why I worship Him is not just because I love Him and want to bring Him an offering of praise when I'm in His presence, but it's also because He truly is worth every melody that comes from my mouth.
Worship, to me, is not just singing songs or praising Him in service, cell, or even during TAWG. But beyond all that, it is a l i f e s t y l e – each of our words and actions should be worship to Him, something that He is pleased with.
My most unforgettable worship experience was Break Free. You guys do know that there are times when we feel like "Yea God! I'm gonna conquer the world for You!". But there are also times when we feel down, broken and confused by everything happening around us? That was how I felt during Break Free. I entered the Summit that day thinking that even raising my hands or singing a line would take a whole lot of out me, and I simply couldn't do it.
Even when all that was running through my mind, God knew.
He sent two friends to pray for me at the very first song. Before I could break free, God broke me, reminding me that He was in control,
all that I had to do was to praise Him.
I decided there and then that whatever was weighing me down would not hinder my worship to God. As I lifted my hands, God just brought such peace and assurance in my heart, and as I continued to worship, His presence put within me a new found liberty. It was a time of worship where God brought me out of the pits, and truly gave me the strength and courage to press on.
For E X T R A V A G A N T , it is my prayer that IGNYTE Ministry will come to a place of being able to worship God with all of our hearts. Remember that clutter that you saw outside the LT during service this week?

The clutter represents all that we have to put aside to really be able to worship Him with our all- THAT, is extravagant worship. I pray that it's when everything that we've allowed to define us- successes, achievements etc- is stripped away, we will really really have a longing to bring Him something that's of worth that He will be pleased with.
It doesn't take fancy music or flashing lights.
All it takes is YOU, and your heart.
your fellow worshipper,
Rachael
