Testimony - By Joel Foo, Zone 2
I joined IGNYTE about 3 months ago, and the very first person I met was Eunice. She and my sister were in the same cell, and naturally I joined their cell as well. At that time, I did not know what to expect; I was finding it very hard to adjust back to a church with so many people, as my previous church was pretty small in number and the youth only consisted of 4 people. Everyone in the cell cared for me and week-by-week I got to know them better, and soon I got accustomed to weekly FUEL and IGNYTE service.
The person who cared and connected with me the most will be Asaph. Every week he makes it a point to SMS me where FUEL is and update me with any information regarding services. When I am not too sure about certain things I will direct my questions to him and he’ll try his best to answer them.
I wanted to serve God in everyway possible and just after 3 weeks, I decided to join the CH team. This further facilitated my settling in to IGNYTE as now I have a chance to know and work with more people.
On the 15th of November, I received an email from Sister Jas regarding IGNYTE courses, and being eager to find out more about Trinity, I signed up for the Welcome to the Trinity Family Course. After the course, I grew more in God as He showed me His purpose for me in IGNYTE and I felt more at home.Everyone in IGNYTE has made an impact in my life as it’s only when I first came to IGNYTE did I get to experience the joy of worshiping and learning more about God with so many other youths under the care and guidance of the leaders and pastors.

Alethea is a primary school friend of mine. Over the years, we kept in contact through msn but did not really talk often. Then one day early this year, she started a conversation with me on msn and asked about IGNYTE. Seeing an opportunity, I invited her for service that week. She came for services with me for the next few weeks but did not attend fuel. Although I encouraged her to come for fuel, she eventually left IGNYTE. I did not want to offend her so I did not continue to invite her back. A few months later, she unexpectedly messaged me to ask about service timings. I then asked her if she would want to come for fuel and to my surprise, she said yes! Since then, Alethea has been attending fuel regularly for about 3 months. Moreover, she also plans to get water baptized in Trinity next year. I am glad that I had invited her for fuel because she is now growing in her walk with God. From this, I have learnt that caring and connecting is not difficult – all you need to do is to truly care and want connect with your friends.
